RVC operates six veterinary practices across Leicestershire and Rutland, employing over 100 staff and caring for over 20,000 pets per annum, making this a transformational acquisition for Linnaeus in the East Midlands region.
Founded in 2014, Linnaeus has grown to become one of the most highly respected veterinary groups in the UK and Ireland, offering specialist referral services as well as primary care across a family of practices. Committed to excellence, Linnaeus invests in teams, facilities, and continual professional development to deliver outstanding quality care, contributing towards their purpose: A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS.
The transaction was led by the Dains Corporate Finance team based in our Rugby office, with lead advisory support from Mark Tuckwell and Chris Matthews, alongside Jon Kicks, who provided tax advice from our Leicester office.
"The sellers of RVC have created a highly successful and acclaimed business that provides a key service to pet owners across Leicestershire and Rutland. This transaction ensures those services can continue to flourish under Linnaeus’ ownership. We wish all of the sellers the best for the future and Linnaeus well as they take RVC forward.”
Wilson Browne provided legal support to the sellers, with Shoosmiths acting for Linnaeus.
