Your Role as Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Development:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders, clients, and staff

  • Define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and resources are allocated efficiently

  • Monitor expenditures and report variances to ensure adherence to budget

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, progress, risks, and issues

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies

Project Closure:

  • Ensure the successful completion of projects, ensuring all deliverables are met and aligned with stakeholder expectations

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the project team, ensuring that all team members are working effectively toward project goals

Attributes

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in an accountancy or professional services environment

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
