We are recruiting a Private Client Tax Consultant to join a highly supportive and conscientious tax team, to deliver the highest standard of compliance work in a professional and supportive manner. You’ll be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, whilst also building and developing your professional skills.

Your Role

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Tax returns on behalf of clients

  • Confidently deal with all compliance aspects of client’s affairs

  • Dealing with basic tax matters on behalf of clients

  • Confidently liaise with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties as necessary

  • Build strong relationships with clients to deal with queries arising when preparing annual Tax Returns and in dealing with their affairs on an annual basis

  • Preparation and submissions of P11D forms

  • Supporting the management of a portfolio of clients to ensure that all tax returns are prepared and submitted to HM Revenue & Customs by the due dates

  • Calculation of the client’s tax liabilities, together with a reconciliation of the tax due

  • Accurately check PAYE codes and statements on account on behalf of clients

  • Calculation of capital gains tax computations and advising clients of their liabilities

Attributes

  • At least five years practical experience of preparing tax returns

  • Experienced in trust compliance (desirable, but not essential)

  • Be passionate about delivering the best service

  • Have an inquisitive and tenacious work ethic

  • Have a confident and professional communication style
