Dains is expanding their busy and successful Employment Services team and is recruiting an Employment Tax Assistant Manager in Birmingham.   

All members of our exceptional team have contact with clients and develop skills not just concerning the technicalities around tax but also in how to interact with clients, scope, and price work, produce good oral and written advice, solve client problems, and manage the firm’s risks.

Your Role as Employment Tax Assistant Manager

  • Assisting in advisory work and development of new opportunities within the Dains client base

  • Preparing reports and written advice in email and letters

  • Preparing correspondence with HMRC

  • Working with the team to ensure ongoing maintenance of relationships with existing clients

  • Participation in the preparation and issue of ad hoc marketing materials to clients and targets, to generate new contacts and work for the team

Skills & Qualifications

  • You must be self-motivated and driven with a positive and willing work ethic

  • You will be able to build strong and effective relationships with clients and hold a professional approach

  • You will need to demonstrate resilience and confidence in taking on new challenges

  • Ability to prioritise own workload be outcome-focused and meet tight deadlines

  • You must be confident in Excel and common tax software within the market
